Striphe's Daily Stock Game ("the game") is a free simulated stock-market game played with pretend money. It is run by Striphe's Stock Game ("we", "us"). This page explains, in plain language, what information the game uses and why.

What we collect

What we do not do

Where information is stored

Game data is kept in a Google Sheet and Google Apps Script project controlled by us. The website files are hosted on Netlify. These providers may process technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the service and keep it secure, under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store your IP address in our game data.

Who can see what

Your display name, scores and chat messages are visible to other players and to us. Your random player code is never shown to other players. If you tap the donate button you leave the game and are subject to the privacy policy of the donation service.

Children

The game is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not use it. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, contact us and we will delete their data.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep gameplay data and scores for as long as the game runs, and may archive old weekly results. You can clear the data stored on your device at any time by clearing your browser's site data (this will also disconnect you from your player code). To ask us to delete your player record, scores and chat messages, email jstockley31@gmail.com and tell us your display name.

Security

The game server decides prices, executes trades and records scores so that results are fair. No online service is perfectly secure, and because we collect so little about you, we ask that you never put personal information in your display name or chat.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Continuing to play means you accept the updated policy.
